Speaking of Bloggers... Peduto Hops on the Blog Wave.

Team Peduto has set up a blog because they are awesome and understand that the internet is the future. Here is their blog. http://www.pedutoforpittsburgh.blogspot.com/
Kudos to Amber Steinmetz for setting this up.

Don't forget that the announcement is tonight! I'll be providing some Youtube action after the event in case the mainstream media doesn't feel like showing up, again.

The internet is the future, you wrote.

What about the present?

Bill Peduto should understand technology and he should have had a blog in 2005. He ran for office years ago. Why didn't he get a blog then?

Just call it what it is -- without the hype. I'm glad he has a blog. I'll check it out. But, he's not as cutting-edge as you boast about.

You know, it's funny, I didn't have to look at your name to know who this was. I said to myself, "You know, that sounds like something Mark Rauterkus would say."

For your information, Mr. Rauterkus, we WERE blogging in 2005. We had a blog running on Peduto's myspace page. :-)

Maybe you should have had a myspace in 2005. ;-)

In 2005, I was there too. But for me, myspace is a crutch that isn't necessary.

Peduto too down his campaign position papers from 2005's election cycle.

We look forward to re-reading them and other elements as the campaign cycle unfolds.

Woops. I see comment moderation so my post did not appear yet.

FYI, I've posted on my blog @ the do not enter message.

The blog is set up for invited readers only???

Will only invited guests be allowed to vote for Bill Peduto, too? That night I attended two campaign announcements and was struck by the differences. At first announcement, the 70+ crowd was welcoming and engaging. Peduto's supporters seemed more interested in each other than meeting new supporters. I hope my first impression isn't my last because I like Mr. Peduto.

Capitolman- I'm sure it was not set up intentionally for invited readers only. I will find out for you, it was still in the first stages of setup- it's possible a box was left unchecked. I will get back to you. Thanks for keeping an eye out.

As for the guests, I'm sorry you felt unwelcome. Sometimes people are shy, however, I am always open to meeting new people. I can be found at the back with a camcorder. I would hope that his supporters would not turn you away from the issues.

I recently wrote an essay for a scholarship contest, comparing my blog to a dinner table (that fits into people's schedules). I'd love to hear from you and if you have more problems- this is a place to feel you can do that (as long as it's not personally insulting because I have a temper that tends to flare up and that's when I get myself into trouble...Just like heated dinner table discussions! I tend to be the baby of the family who gets up and stomps off hehe).

Please. Keep me informed.

Hi,

I'm the People for Peduto's Deputy Campaign Manager.

The campaign website, including the blog, are receiving their finishing touches & will launch soon.

Everyone will be welcome to chime in with thoughts, suggestions, etc.

While the internet, with its many functions, is a valuable campaign tool, it is just that, one of many tools.

During Bill's 2005 campaign we had a blog, a weekly email newsletter, frequent podcasts, downloadable campaign signs, an online volunteer sign up form and online donations via paypal. Those are coming back soon.

In the meantime, I invite you to contact us using an 'old school' tool, the phone: 412.363.2909.

You can also email us at info@billpeduto.com.

Capitolman, I encourage you to come to future Peduto events and ask for me, or Danielle our volunteer coordinator, or for Matt our campaign manager.

We look out for & welcome new folks, but sometimes that's a challenge, as it was at the Announcement, which had over 300 people in attendance.

I look forward to meeting you,
Gloria Forouzan
